Ok. I must admit that I’m not very great at computers. That’s not to say I’m bad at computers. I might even say that I’m a bit better than the average person. I can install software and hardware without any problem. I also can use most software programs and, being a lover of games, play video games a bit more than I should.

ATI Driver Update Software

However, I always have problems with drivers. For some reason, it’s difficult for me to get the correct update. I don’t mean the initial driver, which comes with the software or hardware. What I mean is the driver that is usually required for a software of application that is needed to run the new hardware or software I just bought.

This problem happens mostly when I get new video games. Yes, I know I’m a geek, but being a geek is becoming more and more socially acceptable these days.

In any case, my computers use a lot of ATI products, ranging from chipsets to graphic processing units. Sometimes, I have to update the drivers and it’s hard because I usually lose the original CD (I’m much more of a computer person than a paper person).

Fortunately, some companies are now developing ATI driver update software for several platforms. If you don’t know what a ATI driver update software does, it’s a program that automatically updates your ATI drives. For those who have tried to find a driver online, you know what a time saver this is. Yes, a Google search gives you millions of sites, but good luck trying to find one that works. The ATI driver update software finds the one that works for you in seconds.

Of course, the ATI driver update software program also installs it for you. This might not mean much to people who get deep into their computers’ obscure programs, but it can make a world of a difference for those who aren’t used to installing drivers. Nevertheless, it’s still a nice feature.

Also, as I said before, there are ATI driver update software programs for several platforms and operational systems. Most people are still with Microsoft (though I can’t understand why), but it’s nice to know that we Mac users haven’t been forgotten.

Oh, and it doesn’t only update ATI drivers. It will automatically detect any missing or obsolete driver in your computer and get the newest version for you. Now, that’s what I call full service.
